SHED CLUB
Shed Club consists of a group of volunteers, some of whom have a neuromuscular condition, that construct, create and build a variety of handcrafted wooden products. Based at NMC every Tuesday and Friday, the Shed Club members have created a friendly, supportive and therapeutic environment for our community. Using recycled and donated wood, not only does Shed Club create items for NMC but they also sell bespoke items to the community with all proceeds raising vital funds for the charity.
The Shed itself is fully adapted with a range of equipment to ensure everyone can participate and remains safe. Many of the members were facing a period in their life in which they felt they lacked purpose before joining and Shed Club has helped them to find their way again. It is an opportunity to make lifelong friends whilst developing unrivalled craftsmanship skills.
Respect and fun are the two words that sum up Shed Club with its open door policy and commitment to having a laugh. If this sounds like something you’d like to join, leave your details with NMC’s receptionist.
